Four Fits 1&2 - Free Puzzles
Another free word puzzle for your stay-at-home students! This puzzle is called a Four-Fit. Solvers must determine which four letter words fit into the blanks in the eight letter words to complete them. The four letters words keep their order and all words are used only once. There are 2 Four-Fits on this page.
I tried to find 8 letter words that elementary students should be familiar with, but solving these might be tricky for them. Working together with a parent might be the best choice and lots of fun too! Older students shouldn't have too much trouble with these, so middle to high school ages.
I hope your kids enjoy these puzzles!

Logo Mix-Ups - Free Visual Puzzle
Here is a visual puzzle you can play with your kids right from the computer! No need to print. Just gather around the screen and try to match the mixed-up logos! You can, of course, download and print if you like. It would probably be better in color, but the black & white version that I printed worked well.
(This is all in fun, so hopefully I will not have insulted any of the companies whose logos I butchered! )
I hope you enjoy this puzzle!

A to D Mini Fill Ins - Free Puzzle
I hope your kids are enjoying these mini fill in puzzles! I've got a bunch more up my sleeve. My mother always collected miniatures so I got hooked on a love of tiny things. Hopefully the small nature of these mini grids don't drive your students mad! I think they're cute!
So today, I am starting on an A to Z tour of mini fill ins! I don't know that I will cover every single letter (x seems unlikely) but I will try. Each mini grid focuses on things that start with the given letter of the alphabet. Check out this post for some solving hints for these types of puzzles.
Good Health and Happy Solving!

Picto-Scrambles #2 - Free Puzzle
A couple of days ago, I posted Picto-Scrambles #1. I thought they were fun (and my teen solver/editor thought so too!) so I made a second one! You can download the puzzle for your children by clicking the image above or here. Remember, there are 2 pages in the .pdf file, but only print the first one. The second page has the answers and is just provided as a reference.
Enjoy!
Animal Mini Fill Ins - Free Puzzle
One of today's free puzzle pages (another coming later!) is a type of puzzle called a Fill In. This page contains 4 mini fill ins with an animal theme. It is the solvers job to figure out how to fill each grid with the names of the animals shown.
Some tips for solving these:
1) Write out all the animal names next to their pictures.
2) Count the number of letters in each word.
3) Find blank spaces long enough to fit each word.
4) Sometimes there will be only one word of a certain length, so you can be sure where it will go in the grid.
5) Once you have some words placed, look for connecting letters which can give you clues to other words.
6) Check your spelling! (This might cause frustration for younger solvers!)
If your kids liked this puzzle, I do have another one available for free on the Freebies/Fill-Ins page. It is a food themed puzzle. Actually, if you click that link, you will find a ton of Fill In puzzles ready to print and play!
The cute little animal drawings on this page are from one of my favorite clip artists, Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Designs! She makes very clear images that I think are easy for kids to understand. I hope you enjoy this puzzle and the clip art too!

FREE Puzzle - Numbered Words
Today's free puzzle is called Numbered Words. You will find words with numbers in them that represent some part of the word. You must figure out what the words are meant to be! Most of these are very easy and kids can probably breeze through them pretty quick. There is no need to print this one out to solve it. Just display it on your computer screen and the kids can guess away!
Hope this fills nearly 5 more minutes of your "Stuck at Home" experience!

Cherry Blossom Trees - Free Pixel Art
The cherry trees are in full bloom right now, and since we can't go out to see them, I thought we'd bring a little color into our homes! This is a little pixel art that I created. Just use the key to color in the tiny squares. Your students will have to use their imaginations, as I'm not an artist! But the final product looks like this...
There are some trees along a path with a fence and some water. I used sharpies to color mine. They are my favorite marker and I have a ton of colors. If your child wants to color with markers, just make sure to put another piece of paper underneath so that the ink doesn't bleed through onto your table! But I'm sure crayons and colored pencils will also work well.
Just click on the blank picture above to print, or click here. This download is a .jpg file with no answer key included.
Enjoy!

Picto-Scrambles #1 - Free Puzzle
With many public schools closing down for the rest of the year, I decided to try to offer more free puzzles here on my blog. I hope parents and teachers find these useful for keeping those active minds busy for a short while at least. I'll try to offer a mixture of challenge levels. If your kids find one of the puzzles especially pleasing, let me know and I will try to make more of that type. I'll post them here as I get them done.
These are meant to be printed out for use, but some puzzles can be solved straight off the computer. This is useful if you don't have a printer handy. This Picto-Scrambles can be solved without a printer. You can just have your children jot their answers down on a piece of paper or call them out to you. That could be a fun way to spend some time together! Also check out the 'Freebies' tab above where you can find other types of puzzles, some of which may work without printing too.
You can download this puzzle by clicking the picture above or here. It will take you to Google Drive and you will receive a PDF file. The first page is the puzzle and the second page is the answers. So only print the first page! You can simply reference the answers on your computer if your kids need help.
Wishing everyone good health!

Spanish Parts of the Head Puzzles and Activities
To go along with my recent puzzle pack, Spanish Body Parts, I have now finished the Parts of the Head! I thought there were too many important words to learn about the area around the head, that it needed it's own set. So here it is, ready to download and teach to your students! It is available for free at my TpT store until Friday night at 8pm.
Hope you find these useful!

2020 Super Tuesday Word Search Freebie
Today I've created a free word search for you and your students! The theme is the 2020 Super Tuesday elections. In it you will find words related to elections, the 14 states that are running primaries this year, and some of the democratic candidates that will be on the ballots. Add this to your lessons on the importance of voting. I'll be working the polls tomorrow, so if you're in northern Virginia, maybe I'll see you there!
Enjoy this puzzle!
