Spanish Body Parts Puzzles and Activities

The Puzzle Den - Spanish Body Parts Puzzles and Activities

This was a special request from a Teachers Pay Teachers customer. They needed a set focusing on the parts of the body in Spanish, so here it is! I am also working on a set that focuses on the facial features. So that will be coming soon too.

This set will be free until Sunday night, Feb 16th. So grab a copy over on TpT today!

I had a little bit of trouble working with this set as it was a little weird using all this clip art of disembodied body parts! And I was a little grossed out by the Alphabet Soup activity where students must find a body part hidden in the stew! Ok, it's not actually that gross since it is just letters in the stew that they must find...but still weird.  Anyhow, I came up with a Lift-A-Flap book that the kids can construct to practice their body parts in Spanish as you can see above. It's a fairly quick activity but studies all the words and can double as flash cards too!

Hope you enjoy this new set!

The Puzzle Den - Spanish Family Puzzles and Activities Set 2

Learn all about family words in Spanish with this unique set of puzzles and activities! Set 1 explores the nuclear family and you can find it here for $4.00. This set explores some of the extended family members (like grandmother and niece) and also practices words for man, woman, boy and girl.

This set will be FREE at my TpT store for the next 3 days! You can download it here. After that it will be priced at $4.00 also.

The Puzzle Den - Spanish Family Set 2 - Label It!

This set has some puzzles that haven't been included in any of the Spanish vocab sets before, like Boxed Words and Simon Says. I've also included a color by word Paint A Picture activity which is a little different from what I usually do. And I'm particularly excited by the Label It! Family Tree puzzle because it's just really cute!

Hope you like these!

FREE President's Day Teeny-Tiny Puzzle Books

The Puzzle Den - Teeny Tiny President's Day for lower elementary

It's been 5 years in the making! Or five years of procrastinating... But Teeny-Tiny President's Day Puzzle Book for Lower Elementary students is now available! You can download this one for free from my TpT store. The Teeny-Tiny book for upper elementary is also available for free in my store.

These are puzzles that print on one sheet of paper. Some folding and a cut are required to get them into teeny-tiny puzzle book shape, but it's not too complicated!

These two puzzles books will always be free. You can give them a try to see if you like them. I also have teeny-tiny books for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Valentine's Day. These versions are grade specific, so there is a different set of puzzles for grade 1, grade 2, etc. Each puzzle book costs only one dollar! Valentine's Day is actually a couple days before President's Day. Grab a bunch of these and have fun celebrating crazy holidays in February with your students!

Enjoy!

FREE President's Day Mish Mash Puzzles

The Puzzle Den - President's Day Mish Mash #1 - Free Puzzle

Today's freebie is a set of Mish Mash puzzles for President's Day! What's a Mish Mash puzzle you ask? The puzzler is presented with 20 word halves in the shaded boxes at the top. The goal is to put all the words back together again! In this case, the words are all themed on President's Day, names of presidents, or terms associated with the US government.

The Puzzle Den - President's Day Mish Mash Puzzle #2 - Free!

There are 3 Mish Mash puzzles to choose from. Puzzle #1 contains words that are 6 letters long. Puzzle #2 has words with 8 letters. And Puzzle #3 has 10 letter words. When my editor/guinea pig solver tried these out, she found the 6 letter puzzle to be the hardest! She reports needing to google presidents names that were 6 letters long to be able to finish the puzzle. (Maybe I didn't teach her enough about the presidents?!) But to be fair, when I was putting these together, I did suspect that the smaller words would be more challenging. The longer word halves give more clues or maybe just a feeling for how the words should be.

The Puzzle Den - President's Day Mish Mash Puzzle #3 - Free!

So if in doubt about which puzzle would be the best for your children/students, I would go with the 8 letter puzzle. And if they enjoy it, give them the others! Or try solving all 3 yourself...it might be fun!

You can download all three as a set in a PDF document here. You can also click on any of the pictures above for the same file. Included are the 3 puzzles and answer keys for each.

Enjoy!
