Summer Break - Day 7 - Origami Stars

Another quick project for today...Origami Stars!

Transforming Stars

We found this project at What Do We Do All Day?  The origami folds for these stars are pretty straightforward.  Nothing too tricky!  You fold 8 parallelograms and then link them together, so you need 8 sheets of origami paper for each star you want to make.

I printed off the instructions so we could read through them as we folded.  After 2 parallelograms, the kids were able to fold the rest on their own.

The stars are a bit floppy.  Ginny threw hers at my arm and it fell apart!  But they are very pretty and a great introduction for origami folding for kids.
