New Crypto-Riddles Set and a Sale

It's a bit out of season, but I wanted to get these Crypto-Riddles Holiday sets finished and Halloween was the last holiday I needed. (I intended to get it done for Halloween 2023, but I got the shingles and that took me out for most of Sept/Oct.) This set includes 12 Crypto-Riddles with math facts practice. Your students will enjoy practicing their basic math facts because they get to find out the answer to a silly joke when they are done! I hope they like these puzzles!

This final set means that the growing bundle is also now complete! I hope you got in on this bundle while it was really cheap. You can redownload now and get any sets that you are missing. But if you didn't purchase yet, you can still get this bundle for 20% off. It is priced at $14.40 and gets you 9 sets of holiday Crypto-Riddles with 108 puzzles!

Today and tomorrow TPT is throwing its annual Teachers Appreciation Sale. My store is set at 20% off everything (including the new Halloween set and the Bundle, which is already 20% off anyway, so it means more savings!) And TPT is offering an additional savings if you use the code THANKYOU24 at checkout for a total of 25% off! YAY! I hope you get a chance to take advantage of the sale!

Cheers!

More New(ish) Releases

I had a special request for this set. Thanks for the motivation Delores!

This set focuses on 12 Spanish words for common beverages. These are the words: el jugo de manzan, el agua de coco, el café, el chocolate caliente, el té con hielo, la limonada, la leche, la malteada, el jugo de naranja, el refresco, el té, el agua

There are 15 puzzles and activities included, along with a complete answer key, and a bonus matching game! Some additional beverage words are discovered through solving the puzzles, including my favorite beverage, té de burbujas or bubble tea! This set sells for $4.

I used these types of puzzles while I was homeschooling my two children. We studied Latin together for many years, and I would create themed puzzles around 12 focus words. We tackled a set each week, along with our regular study, as a way to review words from previous lessons. My daughter decided to study Spanish in high school and that was my motivation for creating these sets. I wanted a fun way for elementary students to review their Spanish vocabulary, and she brushed up on own her vocabulary while helping me create and edit these puzzles. (Now she is studying German in college! The journey is sweet.)

I have also recently released a Spring Mazes set. It contains 26 mazes, one for each letter of the alphabet. There isn't a lot of actual learning involved with solving mazes, but I love creating them and I know there are plenty of kids who love solving them! You can also be sure that kids are getting practice with hand/eye coordination and critical thinking skills while they solve mazes. Parents can print these for their own kids, and teachers can use these as bonus activities, rewards, or fillers. So many possibilities! I also have a Summer Mazes set complete and plan to do Fall and Winter sets too.

I hope these new puzzle sets give you some fun ideas for ways to incorporate puzzles into your learning schedule!

Rhode Island Research Links

I recently released some puzzle books All About Rhode Island. You can find them here. While I research each state, I try to keep track of the websites I used. I have created a list of links below. You can use these links to enhance your own study of Rhode Island.

Hope these are helpful!

All About Rhode Island Puzzle Books

I have been remiss about posting lately . . . apologies! So let me introduce 2 products that I released a couple months ago. They continue my States puzzle books line with All About Rhode Island. There are 2 versions: one for lower elementary students and one for upper elementary. The upper elementary version would also work great for middle school students!

These puzzles sets come with 15 pages of puzzles, a cover page, and answer keys. There are 2 ways that you can print these. You can choose to print the mini-book version, which prints 2 puzzles on each page, or you can print the full page version. I have also provided an Easel digital version that works for online and remote learning.

Each puzzle in the set is packed with facts about the state of Rhode Island. Your students will learn about history, geography, crops, symbols, government, and so much more! And all of these facts will be soaked in while solving fun puzzles! These puzzles also contain word play, math, and critical thinking. You can create a booklet of the puzzles for the state, or simply print out a couple of the puzzles to enhance your state learning journey. These make a great addition to a unit study and are easy to use for homeschoolers. Each of these sets sells for $5.

I am trying to finish up all of the New England states so I can create a bundle of them. This bundle will sell for 20% off! It does take a lot of work to compile all the facts and then create and edit all the puzzles, so these do take me a long time to create. They will be worth the wait though!

I hope you and yours enjoy this state learning journey through puzzles!

Spring Mazes Free Preview

I've been working on some mazes with a Spring theme. There will be 26 mazes in the set, one maze for each letter of the alphabet. These were inspired by the clip art from EduClips. I have put two of the mazes in a little PDF that you can download from Google Drive. There are 4 pages. The first two are the mazes for the letters J and K. The last two pages are the answers.

You can click on either picture to download a free copy!

I am about 40% done with the mazes. I will post again when they are complete with a link for purchasing. My A to Z mazes cost $4 each. You can find others in the maze series here!

Edited 4/16/24 - I forgot to put start and end on the Jump maze! Some puzzles don't need it, but during final editing I decided this one really did! You can now redownload the file to get the newest version!

Valentine's Day 2024

Here's a quick little set of puzzles for teachers (and parents!) to print out for their kids this Valentine's Day! They are all new puzzles that I wrote this year. Just making that clear because I do have tons of Valentine's Day puzzles in my shop and here on the blog that have been available for a number of years. This set is for anyone who already owns all the other Valentine's Day puzzles and is looking for a little something different! (LOL)

This set features 3 puzzles with a sweet theme. The first puzzle is a Word Search which breaks apart the word "Sweetheart" into two little Word Searches. The first focuses on sweets and the second focuses on shapes (like hearts). Once both are solved, the leftover letters will fill in some quotes about love. The second puzzle is a Mish Mash with 10 letters words that have been broken apart and must be fitted back together. The last puzzles are Mini Simon Says and is two pages long. Each mini puzzle challenges the solver to turn the name of an animal into a Valentine word. Special care must be taken in following the instructions for each puzzle! You can find this set in my shop here. It sells for $1.50.

I also released a set of Mazes this year for Valentine's Day! These are A to Z themed so they contain 26 different mazes. There are also almost 20 different types of mazes featured in this set. Elementary aged kids should get a real kick out of these! Well, if they like mazes . . . strangely, not everyone does! This set sells for $4.00.

I also spent a solid amount of time upgrading this Spanish language freebie this year. It now is a complete set, containing 15 puzzles and activities. (The old freebie only had 5 puzzles.) If you are new to my Spanish sets, this will give you a good idea of what they are like. You can download your free copy in my shop!

I hope you enjoy these new (and improved) Valentine's sets and have a great February!

New Winter and Snowflakes Puzzles

I have two new products available in my TpT shop! The first one is all about Winter and contains 3 puzzles for upper elementary and middle school students. Students can solve a Word Search with a fact about the season, decode a Label It puzzle filled with winter activities, and complete a Crossword identifying various garments and shoes worn during the cold months! This set costs $1.50. It is included in a Four Seasons bundle where you can get all 4 sets at a 20% discount.

The second new product is all about snowflakes! More seasonal fun! This set includes a Word Search with facts to uncover about the creation of snowflakes, a Hidden Word with a brief bio of Wilson Bentley, and a Label It with different types of snowflakes to decode. This set also costs $1.50!

We have had snow on the ground for the last week straight, which is very unusual in my area. BRRR!  Hope you are staying warm out there!
